i dunno about other unions, im in the UBC, NYC carpenters union... i make good money and rightfully so... unskilled people are unable to produce quality work at a fast pace... the union itself will let in people who are no talent lazy assholes, but they dont last more than a day on the job...

It's a stupid system at the moment. They should means test it based on household income and set a joint limit of around £60,000. If your household income is higher than that, you don't receive the benefit.
