Well your going to need something to clean the gravel. Im sure they sell those 1" aquarium tubes. You could use that as a siphon.

You could at least try on craigslist. Maybe try selling them for a dime each. Or just give them away free to some friends or family for xmas.

I dont think there are really any. sorry. the best i could think of are tiger barbs but theyre not really that aggressive. To guy above me: actually no they arent. theyre just fin nippers when there is only like 3 or less. I bought 15 and they all got eaten. So... thats not really vicious...
