unit is not mine, 4 wheel drive just quit, door says 05/98 but i suppose it could be a 99. push button on dash, solenoid defaniatly workin on transfer case, see another solenoid on frt diff but not sure what for. wondering what else to check. any ideas?? thx in advance

every now and then tach does not work, when this happens sounds like running on 2 cylinders when foot into it, no power. Tapped distributor and tac come around, and runs fine so took it apart and cleaned did not make a difference. idles fine but when give gas sounds like timing is not advancing...

pull clutch in and try to start if no go charge battery
