The thing to remember here is that puppetry is much older than animation. Puppetry goes back centuries, where as animation is a fairly modern invention.

Sorry to be naive but how do I get them onto the SD card? Copy using a card reader? Which folder do they have to go in? When I copy from SD card to RAM will it invite me to select a folder?
