I tried connecting them via the VGA cable (you know the one that usually connects computers to their monitors), but the tv said that it could not verify the signal. Would just a simple HDMI cord work? Would that also get the sound over there?

Hey, I have a problem. I want to connect this "Creative Inspire P7800" surround sound system to my Sharp tv, but the wires coming out of the back of the subwoofer (part of the sound system) dont really match the ends on the tv. For one, the wires are too big to fit in all of the audio spots...
