I'm getting a mate's old iPhone when she gets the new one. The screen is cracked and the back of the phone is split at the 30 pin connector. Who can fix this? Apple won't I don't think... I could get a screen repair, but what about the back?

The back of my 3GS is cracked at the dock connector about a half inch. Will it be alright as long as I keep a case on it? Could I heat it up and try to melt it back together or something? Preferably without removing, I already gotta replace the screen!
