I don't want to pay the subscription fees that Star Wars Galaxies makes you pay so I was wondering if there is a game like it that has space flight and lets you walk and explore worlds

I have dovnloaded the descovery mod but I have no saved games in the load game menu. I tried to open the saved game with freelancer that was in the saved game directory and that changed all the saved game file extensions to .fl. Is this the right extension. Plus if anyone knows how to make the...
