regular gasoline in most all trucks except those with disiel is acceptable. That means as long as its 87 octane or higher your fine but spending your money on the 91 octane isnt going to help you get better gas milage.
Might have blown a fuse or possibly you might have mice that ate the wires. But i would say that if its not a blown fuse then its probably a bad head unit.
