Weak or wet ignition coil, or dead spark plug. Spray some WD-40 into the coil's holes and plug ins, and in the plug wire boots, and try it again. The WD-40 will waterproof the system. Used to do this on my Harley all the time, it really helps when you ride in the rain a lot.

Yes, I have some experience with this. As long as you and your wife can live with it, go ahead. If any doubts exist, do not do it.
