for a beginner How much it on average does it cost to buy a used bike? New bike?

I was reading what a good size of an engine for a beginner is, and it said around 200 to 300cc. But I'm friend recommeded around 125cc. I am planning on using this to get use to a bike, because later I'm planning on buying a motorcylce I am 6'1 and I weigh 150 pounds

What is a good dirt bike for myself? I am 6"1 and weigh about 150. I have never rode dirt bike. But I want to get a motorcyle later on in life so I want to get sort of the feeling of a bike. I am not planning on to go into anything competive. I would also like something fairly cheap
