It depends on what is available in your area. MMA directly is best if you plan to be an MMA fighter. If not, develop a base in whatever style is available. the best styles for a base outside of childhood/lifetime experience are Muay Thai and BJJ.
Shaolin Kung-Fu is the closest to what you described... Chin-Na is like there version of Aikido, and they do several weapons forms.
Tough to find an instructor unless you're in a major city though. There 2 good ones in NY.
