is it possible to set a ringtone for group contacts in your phone or do you have to go in individually and set one for each individual contact??

Kay, so everytime i want to set a picture as wallpaper on my htc hero, the crop box comes up to crop up & i try to stretch the box b/c i just want the whole picture, but it wont. So is there anyway i can just have the entire pic as my wallpaper or is it always gonna make me crop it?? Thanks!
