Does the rotor just pull off the shaft or is it secured in some way? Cant pull it off, seems to be locked on.

I backed the car out of my driveway from cold, got out to close the gate next thing it stopped- I then tried to start it again but no joy. The motor turns ok- checked spark at plugs/Nothing! wondered if it got anything to do with the catalitic converter light been on?or wat? Any ideas??? Motor...
