    hope springs eternal... besides, there are some notable exceptions: LOTR, the Matrix, etc. seems like 2012 was a nobrainer though. when the trailer doesn't offer any reason to see the movie other than CGI effects, you can pretty much bank on the movie being crummy.

    I've never understood the debate. I was mildly entertained by Jaws but never scared of it. Maybe it's because anybody who's seen Jaws has a moment of hesitation about going into the ocean from then on. And the feeling is very widespread. You can't really name any other movie that engenders...
