    is my contacts prescription too strong?

    I just got contacts..and my prescription feels very strong its a -3.25 ..i know my eyes are bad but idk why the prescription feels too strong on my eyes and they make me feel dizzy ...should i tell the eye doctor? or Is it just that i need to get used to wearing them?
