    laptop has no VGA port ,can I use serial to VGA cable to connect external monitor?

    my old Acer TravelMate 520 series has a Male and Female serial 9-pin port it's LCD is damaged, so I have to connect an external monitor can I use the serial to VGA converter to connect the monitor without any problems?
