    i have a ford f150, 1985 model, and it seems to do this surging type of thing....

    ...what do you think may be wrong? ok. here's the deal, when sitting still the motor will idle up and down, with no strain or anything. also, it has a 5.0 efi engine in it.

    is there a fuel pump relay switch on the 1985 chevy cavalier?

    ok. so, if you remove the fuel filter, and turn on the key, and no gas comes out then you have a bad fuel pump then?
