A lot of teens look for books which are easy to read and adult books sometime have tougher vocabulary and plot lines. I personally completely skipped the YA section and went from childrens to adults because I got bored with the teen angst books quickly.
It depends on what you are looking for. My two recommendations would be Change of Heart I thought it was one of Picoults best books or A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson. It was laugh out loud funny, which for me is pretty rare, I almost never laugh at books =]
