That was relatively painless. First impressions? My phone is slow as hell.

garmin is not useless without data, although at least with my e71 it can take a long time to 1st connect to gps (up to 10 mins!)

One thing about GSM, does your grandmother use a hearing aid? GSM audio interference can have a crippling effect on hearing aids. You might want to look for a phone that has been rated/certified as hearing aid friendly in such a case. Or alternately you could get a phone that has Rogers 3G...

I think flip is the way to go because she wouldn't know how to do the key lock. The RAZR looks to hard to handle for her. It being so thin and all. Are certain manufacturers known for louder volumes than others?

I consider the late 80's to mid 90's to be the best years for animated films. During those years, Disney wasn't completely dominating the world of animation, and we got classic fantasy films from Don Bluth and others. Many of those films we're somewhat lighthearted but had strong dark overtones...

Actually it looks kind of funny

As much as I enjoy Disney and Looney Tunes Holiday TV specials, what I remember (and perhaps even enjoyed the most) were the Hanna-Barbera ones. Every Christmas I look forward to watching stuff like Yogi's First Christmas.

The previews look nothing like the children's book. Somethin' about a scientist . . . yeah, that wasn't in the book. I'm not saying the movie will be bad, though. If it was really loyal to the story, it wouldn't have much substance.
