Stephen King turns up as a pretty major character in his own Dark Tower series, if that's what you mean.

Randall Flagg is your man. He's the villain in Stephen King's novel The Stand, but also appears in the Dark Tower series and The Eyes of the Dragon. Even if you weren't interested in the necromancy aspect, you should read all of these anyway, just because they're great books. :)
