In laymans terms (I'm a girl)...What is the difference? I can't seem to find that answer online.

My car has a brandnew battery. About a month old, so I'm fairly positive it isn't that. However, as of the past couple/few weeks my car DOES NOT want to start with the first turn of the key..or second...or third... It will usually take somewhere between 5-10 tries to get my car to start up...
