how much is a reasonable cut for the author of a book?
Depends on how good your agent is. The agent will sell your books to a publisher and negotiate the payment. Most agents take either 10 or 15 per cent of the total. Good agents get bigger advances for their authors. It can range, though, from £2000 up to £450,000.- Kosher NinjaChick JPA
