    I have a sub that was made with part of a computer speaker set and i want to hook it up to my home stereo. It is 240 watts. Anyone know how?

    How do I hook up a 240 watt subwoofer to my Sony shelf stereo?

    I just got a 240 watt subwoofer that was made to put in a home instead of a car however it is not self powered. I wish to hook it up to my Sony shelf system stereo. How would I do that? And do I need an amp and equalizer or anything else, or can I hook it right up to the stereo? Thanks!
