Mine looks fine in comparison to my Samsungs. One thing that might be at work is the compass theme that for some reason these are set on out of the box is terrible and might contribute to this.

Maybe Nokia remembered that a lot of people out there are feeling the effects of the recession and decided to knock almost $200 off the price of the N97. Then again, it might just be a teaser to boost pre-orders. Time will tell...

Spaceman, I could say the same thing about Freakazoid, another Spielberg-backed/created cartoon series that hasn't aired in years. To be honest, Toonsylvania received much less reception compared to the rest of Spielberg's animated series (obscure or not).
