I have special message tones for people when they text me but it jus plays my regular ringtone for messages..

I have a little stupid Nokia phone, bought from wal mart (recently), and it came with a sim card, i activated it. i am tired of this little nokia so i ordered an unlocked samsung impression off of ebay. if i just put my simcard in that when i get it, will it work?
