Most of that stuff does absolutely nothing. If you really want to try some though go with Lucas. As long as you are running good clean gas you shouldn't have any problems anyway.

I was stationed in Japan and had no problems. Your bike will run fine on japanese gas. As far as mods, we didn't have to do any and most of the harleys there had louder than stock pipes.

Are you sure the battery is ok? It can show 12 volts on a meter but still not perform under load. If the battery is ok then your solenoid contacts are bad.

An easier and cheaper soloution would be to upgrade to electronic ignition. You'll still have to kick it, but never more than once. I own 2 antique harleys. A 42 and a 55. I run Mallory electronic ignitions in both and they start first kick every time.

The last answer is correct except, DO NOT USE RED LOCTITE. That is unless you never want to remove your calipers. Use BLUE loctite, Red is PERMANENT
