    on a pedal moped, once you've used the pedals to start it, do they do anything?

    As in, If I'm trundling along on my Honda Camino(hobbit)/Mobylette/Puch maxi at 30mph and start pedalling like there's no tomorrow, will my speed increase? so technically, do they still work at low speeds?
