    How do i know whether my wild betta pugnax which i recently caught is a male

    or a female ? ok i jjust caught my betta pugnax, but unfortunately .. it has this vertical lines .. similar to the ones female betta splendens show when they are ready to breed .. i tried searching how betta pugnax's indentification it was confusing ,......

    can betta splendens (the normal) betta breed with other betta species naturally ??...

    ...example betta pugnax? i just caught a betta pugnax female from the wild !! and i have a few halfmoon betta splendens .. so i was thinking what if i made this two different species to mate .. any advice anyone >????
