is it necessary to have a data plan if i dont plan on using the internet????? I have att so as longi dont use internet i dont need da data contract??

I really like the idea of being able to update twitter, facebook, and myspace at the same time. I found Tweetdeck and i can update all 3 at the same time on my desktop but only twitter and facebook on mobile.
