Is it possible to use the inter from my pc to my sharp fx phone through a usb connection. My phone has an option of data service mode. If so how can i do it? thanks for your help

I read the online manual for it and it says my laptop has 2 ram slot but when i opened my laptop up i only see one slot. the ram is labeled 512 ram but on my system it said i have a 1 gb ram. how can i upgrade it to a 2gb ram with only one slot.
