1.8l 4g93 engine.... with a f4a22 transmission (automatic) the car has three forward with overdrive totalling 4 gears...hit a rock and replaced transmission with same model in perfect working order im assuming i am having an electrical issue...what sensors etc would cause it not to shift to...

I have tried lots of things...seems to be an electrical issue...as the tranny is in good working order.what are some things i can check...i am very mechanicall inclined i am on the point of giving up... its a 4 speed overdrive automatic....first three speeds work fine...4th not engaging just...
