I can't remember what my art history teacher said...something about one of the two civilizations didn't show much emotion in their paintings or sculptures because they wanted to portray themselves as level headed .. anyone have any info? i couldn't find anything on google. thanks!

i remember my art history teacher saying a lot of their sculptures were influenced by family, and possibly tradition? What else in their culture influenced them? I already know they were heavily influenced by the Greeks... thanks!
