That was happening to me as well..I find out that if you run your finger up higher than the keypad during the "swype", it capitalizes the previous letter..I guess there's some use to that if you want to capitalize in the middle of a sentence

I would get the Infuse over the Inspire just because its capable of higher network speeds. I would not consider the current iPhone. Its vastly outdated. Its only capable of HSPA 7.2, the Inspire can take advantage of the faster AT&T network speeds. Sent from my VS910 4G using HowardForums

Since it still reboots in EDGE then it's not a network issue like it was on the E71. Later firmwares have fixed the E71 and it's not rock solid. What apps have you installed on the N8? Does it reboot randomly or is there a pattern to it? Perhaps a factory reset would clear out whatever issue...
