My (recently purchased) Blackberry Storm 2 was working great. Now, the little red line in the corner is the ONLY thing that works. What's wrong here? How do I fix this? If it can't be fixed, can or will Verizon fix my phone or replace it? Please help!!!

I was going to buy a friend an LG Cookie for Mothers Day and it is a GSM phone, but she has Verizon. If I purchase a Verizon SIM card, will the phone work on the Verizon network?
