What type of carb fits a Yamaha GT80 1978?
Bought a DT80 engine which turns out to be a GT80 engine which fits straight on to a DT50 frame same bolts etc looks nearly the same , What Type of carb will fit a GT80 engine?????? the inlet stub reed valve Assembly has a 20mm opening for a carb!! to be fitted over with a carburettor mouth seal... -

I am restoring a yamaha dt80 & i purchaced a 2nd hand complete engine ,
removed old unit and fitted the ......? Replacement unit, bled the 2stroke oil pump and it started easy, engine sounds fine! but when started noticed an oil leak! i removed the LHS crankcase cover and oil (engine oil) was leaking from the clutch push-rod, front sprocket and the gear-change... -

Yamaha DT 80 / DT 50 Engine Question?
Clearing out the garage and i have come across a Yamaha DT engine i was given many yrs ago, i was told it was an 80cc, i'm going to sell the engine and i want to advertise it correctly, there is no obvious marks on the cylinder e.g 49cc or 79cc except for the numbers 451? Does anyone know how to...
