The blood tests are finger prick tests. They only need a small bit of blood. It does make your finger throb a bit, but only for a little while. Try and encourage the blood to your hand just before she pricks you by making fists and releasing it. Also try and keep your hands warm.

Sounds like it could be the test. I have never used tesco tests. Id say get another brand. Don't touch asda's though, there rubbish.
