I am registering a copyright of mine, which is a series of articles. The articles are in HTML format and displayed on the web. Is it okay to submit them in HTML format directly to copyright.gov, or will I need to edit them into some other format first?

I only want to lighten a particular area, and not the whole image. How do I go about doing this? I know you can use the opacity tool for the whole image, but is there a facility to lighten only particular parts of the image? I have CS3. Thanks in advance.
