    Where does the idea come from that satan can't do anything unless god let's him?

    Okay so I'm lost. I was under the impression that satan did as he pleased but I've been told that satan can not do some harm to someone if god does not let him. Where did that whole thing come from? Sorry about the apostrophe in let's. lol

    If I recall correctly he was supposed to be middle eastern not from northern europe. @ Matthew. Yes and there are also people with blonde hair and blue eyes in mexico(believe me I would know), that doesn't mean that the original inhabitants had those traits.
