    Locked hubs 4X4 older Ford Bronco?

    I was wondering if you lock the hubs on a 1989 Bronco do you have to be in 4X4 or can you drive in 2wd and then switch? How fast can you drive with the 4X4? If i lock the hubs do i HAVE to put it in 4X4 or can i switch between 2wd and 4X4?
