I see your point. With back surgery you already have enough to think about. Going out of town does add to potential headaches. I keep telling myself. If this doc. is a spine and brain specialist surely he can complete a discectomy competently. Thanks for responding.:wave:

So there are people out there who have L-5 S-1 discsectomy and get some long term success. Seems problems are coming back most times within 2 yrs. I would hope if I have a pretty successful surgery and take care of it during recovery and post recovery I could have some long term relief...
