    Why do bands such as Nickelback and Hinder sound so country?

    This is a serious question. I'm wondering how the style of bands such as Seether, the Last Vegas, Papa Roach, Creed, etc. evolved. Who were they inspired by? And are they just putting on a show of country-like voices as i've heard country-rock is critisized for?
