the 2010 Wuss Bowl featuring Brett "No Mas" Favre and Michael "BendMeOver" Vick. Who do you think will win? Or will a dusting of snow prevent the game from being played ...again?

Need a good source for a Suzuki Sidekick wheel bearing tool?

I need the special socket to remove the front wheel hub on a 4 wheel drive '93 Suzuki Sidekick. It is about 1.75 inches across and has four round pins which insert into the locking nut. I'm sure Suzuki or Kent Moore has one but are there other sources? Any suggestions?

Do you have to get a new 2 year activation to add a line in verizon?

I want to add a line and am wondering if you have to make a new 2 year agreement to do that.

91 Chevy S10 Pickup Heat Mode Selector Problem?

It's going to help if you have another person to lend you a hand with this one. Have him/her move the inoperative selector lever while you put your head as far under the dash as you can with a flashlight. Look for the "dangling" cable that may be disconnected or for a vacuum line not in place...

Old Wix air filter for a 60's Ford?

I have an old Ford air cleaner from the 60's with a Wix filter, #42053, in it. Can anyone tell me what that filter once fit, and if anything is currently available for it?

My 1989 Chrysler Lebaron makes a hissing noise from the brake pedal when I hit...

I'd look under the hood for a vacuum leak to the power brake booster. If the booster looses its vacuum source, due to a break in the hose (or metal pipe), the brake pedal will go to the floor and the brakes will not work well, if at all. Here's what you need to do....get someone to work the...

Question for Ford gear heads about vibration dampers.?

The question is about the FE big block engines, made in many different sizes from 1958 to 1976 (truck). All were internally balanced except the '66-'67 410 (Mercury) and the 428 which were externally balanced. I know this "external balance" was accomplished at the flywheel assembly BUT was the...

Question for Suzuki gear heads about pressure plates.?

A previous Yahooer asked about her clutch not releasing on her '95 Sidekick to permit shifting. The Yahoo answer said the slave cylinder was a fault. I don't think the '95 used a slave cylinder. That said, I have fought this bad clutch/pressure plate problem on a '93 Sidekick for a long...

    Scion tc or Honda Civic?

The scion has a pretty big engine. It has a 2.4L like a camry and averages about 24mpg, The civic has a smaller engine and takes less gas. Go for the civic coupe. Its nicer than the scion. Honda has always been reliable.

I have a 97 Toyota 4-Runner which is hesitating while accelerating, mostly

The problem could VERY well be the filter. At increasing engine loads/speeds a partially clogged filter can restrict the fuel flow from the tank to the engine. The filters aren't hard to replace and are not expensive.

Question for the Ford gear heads about exhaust manifolds.?

I believe in the 70's on the F100/150 pickup, 360/390 engines that Ford used exhaust manifolds with a pattern of 4 or 5 prominently raised ridges on the visible branches of the manifolds. Does anyone know what years these manifolds were used? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

What does a complete 8.8 Ford rear end weigh?

This 8.8 is from a late 90's Mustang and is complete except for discs and calipers. I need a good approximation so I can ship it by UPS Freight. I'll take all answers, even guesses and average them. BTW, I'm guessing 150-175#. Thanks to all the gear heads for their input.

    Road bike tyres. 700c x?

The second number, that has been noted already, is the width of the tyre. A wider tyre will ride smoother and last longer....depends on what you want. I've ridden for about 55 years and got really tired of flats here in the New Mexico desert. I finally found a tyre that is nearly impervious to...
