I have a 1977 Hondamatic 750 and my tank is starting to rust. I was wondering if any cb honda tank of that year would work.

I took the carbs off to clean them and found two wires that were not connected to anything. One is brown with a red strip and the other is black with a green stripe. I looked around and could not find any plugs that were not filled. Any clue what they would be for?
