For some reason, my distortion pedal stopped working... I have no idea why, especially beause I only used it like twice. The battery can't be dead.... since I only used it like twice. Any suggestions as to what might help?

I have guitar hero 5 and I want to know if there is a way to add my own custom songs to the game. I've seen other people do it, but they did it for earlier guitar hero versions. I have it on playstation 3.
