A free verse poem doesn't have many rules, hence the term "free-verse". You can pretty much make commas and periods anywhere you deem appropriate. And a free verse poem usually doesn't rhyme, but when it does it's an unnatural pattern of rhyme. There is also no "set" place to make a new line...
