The development process of the N97 has been a lot different than their past devices. They've been more willing to show what it is they're working on, where they are having problems, what their ultimate goal with the project is. We never saw that kind of work being done to the N95 or N96

I fully agree with you there. Either that or people need to come up with better algorithms to handle different list lengths and whatnot. It's not at all that it's a terrible UI construct, I just have yet to see an implementation that does it truly correctly.
