    Can a lack of intimacy affect your mental health?

    By intimacy, I am referring to the hugs, random touches, that aren't sexual in nature and also those that are sexual in nature. Things that give you a feeling of connection to other human beings. Also - have they ever done experiments on animals that received no intimacy?
