I was taking a photo in Manual Mode with flash. I kept a black leather thing just in-front of the flash. The flash gave a smoke with a pop sound. Flash is now working but there is a difference between both the ends of the tube inside the flash (appears externally) Why did it release smoke?

In the market I couldn't find any AV cable for PSP-3000, but there is for PSP-2000 and on the box of the cable it is written as "only for PSP-2000". So my question is can I use this AV cable for PSP-3000?
