Wireless charging works by magnetic fields. so far the fields are so weak that the device actually has to lay on the charger. I am en Electrical Engineer and the technology has not come far enough yet. It will one day, and someone will make it. The problem is that you cannot pattent an idea...

I don't think that would be caused by what you did. If you broke it would not work at all.
