I just got a free brand new starter solenoid to put into my car since my car is having issues starting up. Problem is I have no idea where my starter solenoid is located. Its a 99 mercury cougar. Any ideas?

I want to take off the leather surrounding the gear lever and put like a chrome faceplate. That outlines the gears. The leather is getting old and crappy. I dont know what it is exactly called but i dont want leather. Please help. Google no help.
